This following topics will be covered: the main characteristics and features of a mezzanine loan, the parties to a mezzanine loan transaction, the drawbacks and disadvantages that mezzanine lending poses to each party, due diligence requirements and considerations, mezzanine loan documentation, and a discussion of risk mitigation that is typically addressed in an intercreditor agreement between the mezzanine and mortgage lenders.
