Similar to attorneys physicians are licensed by state boards. Although the regulation of physicians is overseen by states when legal issues arise it can be difficult to determine whether state or federal law governs. This on-demand course will address state and federal laws related to employment, the Family Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and the HITECH Act.
